Betting (or any other form of gambling) is not something that we would
normally recommend as an additional source of income during your
retirement. Statistically it is unreliable; can be expensive; might
become addictive and could wipe-out your pension. Not a good idea. However....

.......many pensioners enjoy a ‘bit-of-a-flutter’ even if it’s just on the Grand National or the Derby and it is so much easier these days with online betting making it so much more accessible. More serious gamblers spend a great deal of time studying ‘form’ and it’s often the case that when they retire they have more time available to dedicate to this study as a means of relaxation. It also helps to keep the grey matter suitably active and improves the chances of winning. Of course, everyone would prefer to win and it’s the prospect of winning that keeps people coming back for more, but not everyone has the inclination, the time or the desire to spend hours reading the relevant papers and doing the requisite research. So how can these people improve their chances of winning?
It was this question that we decided to look into having just lost another fiver on the Derby. It proved to be an interesting exercise and there is, as you might imagine, a huge amount of material available on the internet and in books, magazines and libraries. There are any number of tipsters, gurus and rogues only too keen to take your money and it’s almost impossible to decide who or what is worthy of further research or investment.
We eventually came up with four products that we thought worth considering and we have made these available to you on a simple additional website. You can take a look at it here: http://bit.ly/mSSEeF. Like many others, they have all the usual hype, but if you can cut through the ‘spiel’ the end result might just provide you with the ’edge’ that you are looking for without wasting hours of your valuable time.
At the risk of repeating ourselves, please don’t go into gambling as an easy way of supplementing your income, because you might be disappointed, but if you fancy a bit of a gamble as a means of amusement with the possibility of some extra cash, then do take a look at these items. Whatever you do, remember the golden rule, never, ever gamble with money that you can’t afford to lose.
