Here is the latest free tip from our friendly eBay guru, Amanda O’Brien.
“Did you know that auction sites like eBay are one of the first places people look to buy from in times of recession?
Think about it - if money is tight then people want to save a few pounds. So if they can find the product they want listed on an eBay auction, the chances are that they will get it a lot cheaper than if they purchase it on the High Street!
That's why right now is a great time to start your own eBay business. Consumers are actively looking for 'bargains' and if you can source the right products at the right prices then you can supply those customers and get a big slice of the action.
Also, in times of recession, it's much easier to pick up cheaper stock. What about the items that are returned to stores by consumers and retailers? Well, you can make a good profit by simply buying those surplus, close-out and overstocked goods from suppliers and selling them on eBay! There are hundreds of this type of supplier out there.
Do a search for 'closeout' or 'surplus stock' etc and you'll see what I mean.”
