Photography
This is a HUGE subject and we can only scratch the surface here, but hopefully we can give you a few pointers to set you off in the right direction if you're just starting, or help you to develop your skills if you already have some experience. The vast majority of us enjoy photography for its own sake and for our personal enjoyment as a means of capturing memories that we can share with friends and family.
Today's modern digital equipment makes it so much easier than when we all started out with film. Now we can take as many photos as we want knowing that we can just keep the few that are good and discard the remainder without all the costs of developing and printing. Some will say that this takes away the skill, but we disagree. Good composition and general photographic skills learned through study and experience will always win through.
There is also video of course. Not so long ago this was the preserve of the dedicated enthusiast, but now, with modern equipment, anyone can produce good video that can be edited on computers and played back on television screens or uploaded onto the internet. If you are interested in video and computers do take a look at
Retirement Revenue TV
. It's really easy to do and we provide the basic instructions needed. If you can copy your video to your computer, you can upload it to our site and show your skills to the world! Obviously we monitor the content and won't accept anything that's unsuitable and we would prefer video subjects that are particularly relevant to our visitors. If you have had some success in an enterprise and can record details on video we would love to hear from you.
Here are a couple of good books to help. We also feature the best value for money digital SLR camera (in our opinion) and the brilliant Sony High Definition video camera. We've used both and they are stunning. We also have some links to other sites that should prove helpful. Keep snapping!
