We know that writing is one of those leisure activities that a huge number of people in our age group particularly enjoy. It is, of course, a massive subject and we don’t have the space available here to go into it in great detail.

It is possible to make money from writing, as you will see from our e-book, but here we are looking more at writing for pleasure. Letters, poetry, family history (see our Genealogy section), stories for grandchildren, diaries and holiday memories are just a selection of topics. All you have to do is make a start! A white sheet of paper or a blank computer screen can be a bit scary, but just start writing and it's amazing how quickly you really get involved.
